Kashif Kakvi, a journalist associated with News Click, who shared the videos on Twitter said that five people, including two women, were injured in the attack.
In another clip, a man is shown lying on a hospital bed as he recounts the attack. Another family member who identifies himself as Shahrukh Warsi claims that they were suddenly attacked when they were busy with work at home.
Ehtisham Hashmi, a lawyer, met the family to help them with filing a police complaint. According to Hashmi, the police has filed a case but did not furnish a copy of the FIR or medico legal documents.
According to Kakvi, the family had even cancelled a land deal in the village and were planning to migrate.
One family member who received injuries in the head alleged that the attackers had asked them a month ago that they do not want Muslims in the village. “They warned that we should leave the village by October 09 and today they attacked us.” The Muslim family of iron smiths had settled in Pewda a few years ago.
