ALLAHABAD: A child was injured when a bomb exploded at an under-construction temple in Rasoolabad area under the Shiv Kuti police station in Allahabad on Wednesday. Four live bombs were also recovered from the site.

13-year-old Manish, who was playing near the debris of the under-construction temple, was injured in the explosion. He was rushed to the local hospital where his condition is said to be out of danger.

Four crude bombs were also recovered from the site and have been sent for forensic checking, a police official told IANS.

“They have since been diffused and we are questioning the people around to ascertain how the crude bombs reached the garbage dump near a temple,” the official told IANS.

While the news agency said the injured has been identified as seven-year-old Sunny, Jagran Hindi daily named him as 13-year-old Manish, son of Ranjit Kumar Nishad.
