NEW DELHI — The Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP), a Mumbai-based organisation fostering the growth of the Muslim community and society at large, continues to make significant strides in its mission under the leadership of Aamir Edresy.

Established in 2007 as an online initiative, AMP has since expanded its reach nationwide and globally, now spanning 400 districts in India and in 20 countries.

In a talk with Clarion India, AMP founder Edresy shared the organisation’s humble beginnings and its evolution into a driving force for change.

AMP’s focus on education and employment initiatives has yielded tangible results. Through motivational lectures and workshops conducted in over 1,000 schools, the organisation has impacted thousands of students. Moreover, its employment assistance programs, including job fairs and coaching for competitive exams, has facilitated employment for over 80,000 candidates.

Despite being rooted in the Muslim community, AMP’s programs are open to all, reflecting its commitment to inclusivity. With an estimated 50,000 active members from diverse professional backgrounds, including corporate, medical, and legal sectors, AMP stands as a beacon of unity and collaboration.

Looking forward, AMP aims to bolster its efforts in education and economic development, with plans for a 25-year strategy to be discussed at its upcoming national convention in Jaipur on February 21. The organisation’s unwavering commitment to peace, coexistence, and nation-building has garnered widespread support from intellectuals, religious scholars, and the broader community.

As AMP continues to empower individuals and communities, its impact serves as a testimony to the transformative power of collective action and shared vision.
