UDAIPUR — The Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR) Rajasthan has announced a one-day Para-Legal Volunteer Workshop here on June 14 aimed at strengthening legal awareness and community leadership across the state.
Established in 2006, APCR encourages democratic dialogue, and offers free legal assistance, financial support, and spreads legal education through seminars, workshops, and joint gatherings.
The para-legal volunteer workshop initiative is part of APCR Rajasthan’s ongoing efforts to promote legal literacy, facilitate access to justice, and safeguard human rights. The workshop is designed to equip volunteers with practical knowledge and skills to assist individuals and communities in addressing legal and human rights-related challenges.
Participants will receive training on constitutional rights and legal awareness, access to justice mechanisms, human rights protection frameworks, documentation and reporting of cases, legal aid services, community leadership, and the fundamentals of paralegal work.
According to APCR Rajasthan’s press release issued on Wednesday, the programme seeks to develop a network of trained volunteers capable of guiding community members on basic legal issues, assisting with documentation processes, connecting people with legal aid institutions, and promoting awareness of human rights at the grassroots level.
The organisation has urged its district units to nominate active volunteers and encourage their participation in this capacity-building initiative. APCR believes that trained para-legal volunteers can play a vital role in empowering communities and strengthening access to justice across Rajasthan.
For registration and further information, Rabb Khan, Assistant Coordinator, APCR Rajasthan, or Rukhsana Usman, Program Convener, can be contacted. Inquiries can also be made via email at apcrraj@gmail.com.
The workshop is expected to bring together volunteers from different districts of Rajasthan committed to community service, legal awareness, and the protection of civil and human rights.
