NEW DELHI – There is a palpable anger and concerns among the concerned citizens of the country and Muslim community as three Muslims men were killed in the name of cow protection within a few weeks in Haryana. The brutal killing of Junaid and Nasir has come to light even the issue of  Muslim youth Waris’s death has not settled down. In both incidents, Bajrang Dal members led by Monu Manesar were accused of committing murders.

The latest incident of burning two Muslim men to death is drawing massive outrage from across the country. Muslims in Haryana and Rajasthan are expressing anger and grave concerns over the gruesome killings.

Aftab Alam, Congress MLA from Haryana’s Nuh, said that one heinous crime after another is being committed but the government doesn’t take action against the culprits.

“In the latest case, the victims are levelling serious allegations against the Haryana police. The government and the administration must answer this. The issue will be raised with the chief minister of Haryana and state DGP,” he tweeted in Hindi.

Meanwhile, The Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Prof Salim Engineer on Friday issued a statement to condemn the killing of Junaid and Nasir (residents of Gopalgarh, Bharatpur – Rajasthan) in Bhiwani, Haryana, allegedly by cow vigilantes.

The JIH Vice-President said, “Jamaat-e-Islami Hind feels that such gruesome incidents of violence indicate a breakdown in the law and order situation. It is a reflection of the growing confidence of communal and anti-social elements in society that they will not be punished for their crimes and that they are free to intimidate and commit acts of violence against members of a particular community at the behest of their political masters”.

Salim has demanded an impartial probe and a statement from the chief minister of Haryana.

“We demand an impartial probe into the incident and a statement from the Chief Minister of Haryana. The perpetrators of this crime must be booked at the earliest and awarded exemplary punishment. A delegation of civil society along with leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind would shortly visit Bharatpur and Bhiwani for fact-finding and meeting the concerned officials and police officers,” he said.

Filmmaker Vinod Kapri said that the role of Haryana police in the killing of Nasir and Junaid is very suspicious.

Congress leader Ritu Chaudhry said the accused Monu Manesar is being protected by the BJP government.

“Khattar government must answer. This is the government for the development of some people and destruction for all,” she said.
