AIMIM Commends Successful Maratha Quota Movement, Urges Muslim Unity

NEW DELHI – All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) lawmaker from Aurangabad, Imtiaz Jalil, has lauded the triumphant resolution of the Maratha reservation battle led by Manoj Jarange Patil.

The atmosphere in Marathwada resonated with joy and relief as Jarange called off his indefinite fast over the Maratha quota issue after the government accepted his demands on Saturday. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that till Marathas get reservation, they will be given all benefits enjoyed by the OBCs.

Jalil, a key figure in the battle for reservation, expressed admiration for Manoj Jarange’s honesty and dedication. He acknowledged that the Maratha protestors, having achieved their goal, demonstrated a sense of loyalty and responsibility in their cities and villages. The victory, as noted by Jalil, has united political circles, emphasising the power of collective action in achieving justice, reports reaching here said on Monday.

Drawing parallels with Manoj Jarange’s movement, Jalil urged the Muslim community to emulate the same spirit of unity in quest for their rights. He emphasised the need for Muslims to overcome political differences and unite for a common cause. Jalil believes that Muslim society can learn valuable lessons from Jarange’s successful movement.

Expressing his views on the current state of Muslim affairs, Jalil stated, “Muslims should forget their political differences and unite for their rights.” He asserted that the unity demonstrated by Jarange and his supporters sends a powerful message, proving that when people stand together, the trust in political leaders is rejuvenated.

Jalil criticised the lack of unity within the Muslim community and urged for a collective effort. He sees Jarange as an honest and hardworking individual, highlighting the impact a single person from a small village can have when supported by millions. Jalil hopes that the success of Jarange’s movement serves as an inspiration for the Muslim community to come together, setting aside differences and collectively advocating for their rightful demands
