Vicky Dudhwa snatches the microphone as a Hindutva proponent openly calls for killing Muslims at an event in Dudhwakhara, Churu
NEW DELHI — In an act echoing Mohammad Deepak, a gym owner from Uttarakhand’s Kotdwar, a Hindu youth in Rajasthan’s Churu disrupted an anti-Muslim speech delivered by members of a Hindutva organisation on Wednesday.
The Hindu youth, later identified as Vicky Dudhwa, snatched the microphone as a Hindutva proponent was ranting and raving about the Muslim community. Vicky said he was angered when the speaker openly called for killing Muslims. Others present at the event also supported Vicky in a remarkable display of Hindu-Muslim brotherhood.
A video of this incident is going viral on social media, garnering widespread praise.

Mohammad Deepak, originally Deepak Kumar, gained national attention earlier this year for protecting an elderly Muslim shopkeeper from harassment by right-wing activists. When challenged, he identified himself as “Mohammad Deepak”, and this act of defiance against communalism earned him widespread support, alongside facing local backlash and an FIR.
India is renowned worldwide for its diversity, and the country’s “unity in diversity” is cited as an example. However, communal tensions have increased in the country after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi took over the reins of power in 1914. Several Hindutva organisations, often with complicity from the state, are constantly trying to spread animosity between Hindus and Muslims. The situation is such that minorities are being targeted with violence through accusations like cow smuggling, ‘land jihad’, ‘love jihad’, and ‘spit jihad’. Appeals have also been made to boycott many festivals and businesses in the name of trade in various areas.
However, in recent days, some individuals like Mohammad Deepak have emerged who, without caring for their own lives, have given a befitting reply to those sowing hatred in society. In Churu, a similar example of communal harmony was set by Vicky Dudhwa.
As he stopped the Hindutva tirade against Muslims, Vicky warned against any attempt to create a Hindu-Muslim divide. Furthermore, he appealed to those present and supporting the hate speech to leave the event. As soon as Vicky’s video went viral on social media, people began praising his action.
According to reports, the event Dudhwakhara in Churu was meant to create awareness to protect cows and about caring for handicapped, injured, and accident-prone cows. A large number of people from various communities had gathered for the event. While addressing the gathering, a young man named Yogi, representing a Hindu organisation, made a controversial statement, declaring from the stage, “I will have Hanuman Chalisa recited in all the mosques in the country. I will go to Delhi and kill Muslims.” He also reportedly made several other controversial statements during his address.
Taking the microphone, Vicky said, “I do not agree with this brother’s views.” He further added, “In the city where I live, Hindus and Muslims live together in harmony. I strongly oppose this kind of ideology.”
Vicky’s video sparked an uproar as soon as it went viral on social media. While many users are calling it a wonderful example of Hindu-Muslim brotherhood and Ganga-Jamuni tahzeeb (composite culture), many Hindu organisations are enraged. They have issued videos and started threatening Vicky Dudhwa. When asked about this, Vicky Dudhwa said, “I am not afraid of such people. After my talk of Hindu-Muslim brotherhood and their opposition to his statement, there is a strong possibility that they will do something.”
Vicky was reported to have said that there were approximately 5,000 Hindu brothers and about half that number of Muslims at the event. “How can we stay away from people who have lived with so much love for years?” he reportedly said.
Vicky reiterated that he believes in humanity. “People of all religions, including Hindus and Muslims, are brothers, and I am a true Hindu and believe in Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” he was cited as telling media personnel.
