Palestinian Bodies Returned by Israel Blindfolded, Handcuffed, with Signs of Torture and ‘Field Executions’

Date:

GAZA CITY — Some of the Palestinians’ bodies handed over by Israeli forces on Tuesday as part of the Gaza ceasefire deal were blindfolded and handcuffed, with signs of torture and “field executions.”

The Israeli occupation handed over the bodies of 45 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces during the two-year genocide in Gaza as part of the first phase of the ceasefire deal.

The bodies were transferred to the Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza.

According to reports, the unnamed bodies showed clear signs of severe torture, field execution, handcuffing, and blindfolding.

Medical sources confirmed there are signs that several individuals may have been subjected to “field executions”.

Additionally, tank tracks were found on the bodies, suggesting that some may have been run over by Israeli vehicles.

Last week, US President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had agreed to the first phase of a plan he laid out on Sept. 29 to bring a ceasefire to Gaza, release all Israeli captives in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, and a gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from the entire Gaza Strip.

Phase two of the plan calls for the establishment of a new governing mechanism in Gaza, without Hamas’ participation, the formation of a multinational force, and the disarmament of Hamas.

Since October 2023, Israeli attacks have killed nearly 68,000 Palestinians in the enclave, most of them women and children, and rendered it largely uninhabitable. — Agencies
