Israeli Strike Targets Iran’s Isfahan Nuclear Site; Iran Fires More Missiles

ANKARA — Israel launched attacks early Saturday targeting multiple locations in Isfahan province, including the city’s crucial nuclear facility, alongside areas in Lenjan, Mobarakeh, Shahreza, and Isfahan County, the Iranian Fars news agency reported.

Isfahan’s Deputy Governor Akbar Salehi confirmed that the nuclear site in Isfahan was a primary target of the strikes, which triggered a swift response from Iran’s air defenCe systems, according to the report.

No casualties have been reported, and authorities assured the public that there has been no hazardous material leakage at the nuclear site or surrounding areas.

 Five members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards killed in Khorramabad

Iranian Mehr news agency reported on Saturday that five members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards were killed in Israeli attacks targeting the city of Khorramabad in western Iran.

Khorramabad, the capital of the Lorestan province, has not been previously reported as a primary target in the ongoing hostilities between Iran and Israel.

Iranian media reported earlier Saturday that two people were killed and four injured in an Israeli attack in Qom in central Iran.

Iranian launches retaliatory attack

Meanwhile, Iran has launched an early morning missile attack on in central Israel and the northern city of Beit She’an.

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) confirms a drone launched from Iran struck a residential building in the northern city of Beit She’an.

Attempts were made to shoot down the drone, apparently a Shahed-136 model, but they were unsuccessful.

However, no injuries were found after medics scanned a two-story home in Beit She’an that was hit by an Iranian drone, IDF source said.

On Friday, an Iranian missile hit Israel’s northern city of Haifa, sending plumes of smoke billowing over the Mediterranean port and wounding at least 31 people.

Hostilities broke out on June 13 when Israel launched airstrikes on several sites across Iran, including military and nuclear facilities, prompting Tehran to launch retaliatory strikes.

Israeli authorities said at least 25 people have been killed and hundreds injured since then in Iranian missile attacks.

Meanwhile, in Iran, 639 people have been killed and more than 1,300 wounded in the Israeli assault, according to Iranian media reports. — With inputs from agencies
