FARRUKHABAD – Sushil Kumar Shakya, the MLA from Amritpur in the Uttar Pradesh district of Farrukhabad, has made a significant statement about the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its future legislative agenda.

Speaking to the media at the party office in Awas Vikas, Shakya affirmed that the BJP is steadfast in fulfilling the goals for which it was founded. He notably mentioned that the party would soon present the Uniform Civil Code Bill, following the recent progress with the Waqf Amendment Act.

In his address, Shakya highlighted the BJP’s transformation from its establishment in 1980 to becoming the largest political party globally by 2025. “BJP has never deviated from its mission. Whether it is the construction of the Ram temple, the abrogation of Article 370, or the amendment to the Waqf Board, the BJP has consistently worked toward achieving its core objectives. The Uniform Civil Code Bill is sure to come soon,” Shakya asserted.

Shakya also emphasised the party’s dedication to its principles, even during its early years when it was a smaller political force. He pointed out that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP has secured three consecutive terms in power at the national level. At the state level, the BJP has successfully formed the government twice under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The MLA praised the commitment of BJP workers. “Every party worker and official is focused on achieving their goals to elevate the nation on the global stage,” he said.

Shakya’s remarks come in the wake of celebrations marking the 46th Foundation Day of the BJP, where BJP District President Fateh Chand Verma hoisted the party flag at the district headquarters. The event saw the participation of several party leaders, including MP Mukesh Rajput, former District Presidents Dr Bhadev Singh Rajput, Rupesh Gupta, Satya Pal Singh, and Dinesh Katiyar, who congratulated the party workers and distributed sweets.
