Tabrez Ali Embarks on Foot Journey to Promote Unity Across Four Major Religions

AZAMGARH — In a remarkable journey that has caught the attention of many, Tabrez Ali, a Muslim resident of Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh, has set out to visit the sacred places of the four major religions in India. Walking an astounding 4,500 kilometres, Tabrez’s mission is to promote a message of unity and brotherhood among Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians.

Tabrez, whose father runs a hotel, began his journey from Delhi’s iconic Jama Masjid, continuing on foot towards Amritsar’s Golden Temple. He plans to visit Kedarnath in Uttarakhand and Goa’s largest cathedral, aiming to send a strong message of communal harmony.

“I want to spread the message of unity and brotherhood among the people of all religions,” Tabrez Ali shared. “I started my journey from Maharajganj and reached Jama Masjid in Delhi. Now, I am heading to Gurudwara Shri Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar, followed by a visit to Kedarnath and the Cathedral Church in Goa.”

As Tabrez walks from one religious landmark to the next, he documents his journey on social media, inspiring many with his dedication to fostering peace across faiths. His journey has been met with widespread support, and people from various communities have praised his efforts.

“I am receiving immense encouragement from people everywhere I go,” Tabrez added. “It is heartening to see the positive response, and I hope this journey can be a small step towards promoting mutual respect and understanding.”
