NEW DELHI — A chilling incident has surfaced from Ashraf Nagar graveyard in the Sinhula police station area of Bihar’s Bhagalpur district, raising alarm and disbelief among the locals. Unknown individuals allegedly dug up the grave of a child, who had been buried just five to six days ago, and stole the body. Blood stains and pieces of the child’s shroud were discovered around the grave, sparking widespread fear in the area.

This is not the first time such an incident has occurred in the graveyard. Over the past several years, numerous cases of body snatching and organ theft have been reported. In the latest incident, several parts of the child’s body were taken away.

“The body was desecrated, and it’s unimaginable to think someone would do this,” said a visibly shaken resident.

The graveyard has become a site of repeated crimes, with graves of women and children being particularly targeted. Just two days ago, the head of a woman, buried six months ago, was stolen. Locals have expressed growing frustration, claiming that the authorities have failed to take significant action.

“This is happening too often, and the police haven’t been able to stop it. We fear this is part of an illegal operation, but we don’t know who’s behind it,” said a worried community member, demanding swift action from the authorities.

Another resident shared his concerns, saying, “How can anyone have the heart to do such a thing? These are human beings, our loved ones, and their graves are being violated. We need justice.”

The community has grown increasingly restless, with some speculating that these gruesome acts could be linked to organ trafficking or other illegal activities. Despite ongoing investigations, no arrests have been made so far, leaving the community in a state of fear and uncertainty.

“The police need to act fast and investigate thoroughly. People are scared to bury their loved ones here, and something needs to be done to stop this,” said an elder from the area, his voice filled with anxiety.

Another resident added, “We don’t know who’s doing this or why, but it must stop. We’ve had enough of this horror. Who will protect us?”
