The family expresses gratitude to Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind President Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani

NEW DELHI – The Juvenile Justice Court under the Additional Civil Judge in Haryana on Friday acquitted a minor from Bhadas village in Mewat region who was booked under FIR No. 142 at Nagina police station for his alleged role in last year’s Nuh violence.
The court ruled that the minor had no involvement in the riots. In its judgment (Case File No. 8241/2024), the court emphasised that the minor could not be punished for a crime he did not commit, a press release issued by Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (JUH) said here on Friday.
Advocate Tahir Rupadiya represented the minor in the court, it said.
The family of the minor, particularly his father Asrauddin, a borewell mechanic by profession, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to JUH and its president Maulana Mahmood Madani. “The legal support and guidance provided by JUH were instrumental in securing justice for my son,” he said.
JUH, a premier organisation of Muslims in the country, has played a pivotal role in rehabilitating riot victims and restoring damaged mosques, besides extending legal aid to the innocent arrested individuals. Under the guidance of JUH chief Maulana Madani, legal teams have been pursuing these cases. As a result of their efforts, 589 individuals were granted bail last year, although their cases are still under trial.
Maulana Hakeemuddin Qasmi, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, and Maulana Yahya Kareemi, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, welcomed the verdict and described it as a triumph of the judicial system and justice, the press release added.
