KOPPAL – Dalit youth was stabbed to death by a barber after being refused a haircut in Sanganala village of Yalaburga taluk, Koppal district.
The victim, identified as Yamanurappa Bandiha, was allegedly attacked by the salon owner, Mudukappa Hadapada, with scissors following an argument, Vartha Bharati reported.
According to reports, Yamanurappa had visited Hadapada’s salon for a haircut but was refused service because of his caste. The confrontation escalated, leading to Mudukappa stabbing Yamanurappa in the stomach, resulting in his death.
Yalaburga Police Station personnel responded to the scene and arrested the accused, Mudukappa Hadapada. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
