Delhi Court Grants Bail to Arvind Kejriwal in Excise Policy Case

Date:

NEW DELHI — A Delhi court has granted bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering case connected to the alleged excise policy scandal. The decision came on Thursday, providing temporary relief to the Aam Aadmi Party leader amidst ongoing investigations.

Kejriwal was granted bail after his legal team argued that the charges were politically motivated and lacked substantial evidence, Vartha Bharati reported.

The court, after reviewing the arguments, decided to release him on bail, allowing him to continue his duties as the Chief Minister.

The money laundering case is part of a larger investigation into the Delhi government’s excise policy, which has faced allegations of corruption.
