BENGALURU – In an inspiring act of compassion that transcends religious and social divides, a Muslim youth from Gangavati in Karnataka’s Koppal district, has set a commendable example by donating blood to a critically ill Hindu priest.

Srinivas, the priest of the renowned Anjanadri temple in Chakrampur, is currently receiving treatment at a government hospital in Sri Ram Nagar. In response to his urgent need for blood, a local WhatsApp group, Gangavati Ratdani, issued an appeal to the community.

Moinuddin Kurnool, a dedicated private school teacher from Gangavati city, heeded the call. Demonstrating remarkable humanity and generosity, Moinuddin donated his blood at the local Anjanadri Blood Bank, ensuring it was delivered to Srinivas through a friend. This selfless act has led to some improvement in the priest’s condition.

Reflecting on the event, local leader Syed Ali commented, “Humanity is above all else. Helping the distressed is the greatest religion. Such actions are an example for the society.”

Venkatesh Sanapura, the manager of the Anjanadri temple, expressed his gratitude: “Archaka Srinivas is not a close relative, yet we take care of him. A young man has donated blood to him, which we welcome. Such work is ideal for society,” he said.
