BJP Garners Highest Income with ₹2360.84 cr, Congress ₹452.37 cr, Reveals ADR

NEW DELHI – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has the highest income among the other six National parties with ₹2360.84 crore in the financial year 2022-23, reveals a report by Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR).

In contrast to these figures, the Indian National Congress (INC) has the second-highest income of ₹452.37 crore, followed by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) at ₹141.66 crore, divulging a significant financial discrepancy among the national political parties.

As per the figures revealed by ADR, the total income of six national parties including (BJP, INC,CPI(M), Aam Aadmi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, and NPEP) was ₹3,076.88 crore, of which the BJP’s share was the highest of around 76.73%.

Besides the income, the report also analyses the expenditure patterns of all national parties during financial Year 2022-23, as declared by the parties in their annual audit report submitted to the Election Commission of India.

Despite a considerable income, the BJP only spent 57.68% (₹1361.68 crore) of the total income of  of ₹2360.84 crore

On the other hand, INC’s total expenditure revealed was ₹467.13 crore, exceeding its total income of ₹452.37 crore by 3.26%.
