RANCHI – The Jharkhand State Backward Muslim Front has urged the state government to set up boards to address various issues concerning the welfare of the Muslim community.
A Jharkhand State Backward Muslim Front delegation, led by Minister for Minority Development Hafeez Ahsan, recently presented a memorandum to Chief Minister Champai Soren highlighting the urgent need for the realisation of rights and comprehensive development initiatives for the tribals, locals, Dalits, Muslims, and backward classes of the state. Stressing unity, the memorandum emphasised forming a grand coalition government in the state with the collective aspiration of the mentioned communities.

Key grievances outlined in the memorandum included the non-establishment of critical entities such as the Jharkhand Riya Sanj Beti, Jharkhand State Waqf Board, Waqf Board, and Urdu Academy, Madrasa Board, along with the delay in forming financial corporations. Additionally, concerns were raised regarding recent directives from the School Education and Literacy Department, which designated the post of Intermediate Trained and Urdu recruitment Teacher as a dying cadre, effectively halting new appointments and surrendering numerous vacant Urdu teaching positions.
The delegation articulated its demand for the annulment of the provision designating Urdu teaching positions as a dying cadre and urged the redistribution of the 3,712 vacant posts of Urdu primary teachers, advocating for appointments under the 2012 process.
Chief Minister Soren assured that all demands would be deliberated upon promptly, with a commitment to the establishment of the remaining board corporations.
The delegation comprised prominent figures including Haji Zakir Hussain, Naushad Alam Ansari, and Meraj Ahmad Master Siddique of Mahaz, collectively representing the interests of the minority communities in Jharkhand.
