Muslim Man from Nanded Plans 1,320-km Bicycle Journey to Present Ambedkar’s Portrait to PM on R-Day

Hussain Ibrahim Nichalkar starts his mission from Nanded in Maharashtra and aims to highlight the importance of unity during these challenging times.

NANDED – Amidst the current communal tensions and concerns over trampling of the Constitution, a Muslim businessman from Mukhira taluk in Maharashtra’s Nanded district is scheduled to embark on a 1,320-km bicycle journey to New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on the country’s Republic Day.

Hussain Ibrahim Nichalkar, a graduate, plans to congratulate the leaders on the auspicious occasion by presenting a portrait of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, the architect of India’s Constitution. Besides, Nichalkar will also be presenting them with a copy of the Constitution, local media reports said on Friday.

Scheduled to commence on Monday, January 1, 2024, after Fajr (dawn) prayers at the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial at Raza Chowk Masjid in Mukhira, Nichalkar will pedal through Amravati to Betul in Madhya Pradesh, passing through Bhopal, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Gurugram, before reaching the Parliament House in New Delhi.

Expressing the significance of his journey, Nichalkar aims to highlight the importance of unity during these challenging times.

Local dignitaries, including Nanded Member of Parliament Tappayal Chalekar, Member of Assembly Tushar Rathor, and the District Collector, have lauded Nichalkar ‘s initiative, extending their congratulations and best wishes. Social organisations, journalists, and various sections of society have also offered their support for this inspiring endeavour.
