BENGALURU – In an effort to support education within minority communities, the State Scholarship Scheme (SSP) for pre-matric students is currently soliciting applications. Eligible students from Muslim, Christian, Jain, Buddhist, Sikh, and Parsi communities, presently enrolled in Class I to Class VIII, are encouraged to apply for the academic year 2023-24.
The online application process, managed by the Minority Welfare Department, is in full swing, with a crucial deadline of December 31 fast approaching. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to students who demonstrate academic promise but face economic constraints.
Students who have previously applied through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) must submit their applications through the dedicated SSP portal at https://ssp.prematric.karnataka.gov.in to be considered for the scholarship.
As part of the eligibility criteria, applicants must be enrolled in classes ranging from I to VIII. The scholarship is designed to alleviate the financial burden on minority students pursuing their education at pre-matric levels.
For comprehensive information about the State Scholarship Program, interested candidates can visit the Minority Welfare Department website at https://dom.karnataka.gov.in/kodagu/public. Additionally, a helpline is available at 8277799990 to address any queries or concerns.
