A DCM driver Prem Singh Yadav was transporting a cow in the vehicle when unidentified assailants shot at him

LUCKNOW — As if transporting bovine in the vehicle has become a crime in India, specially in Uttar Pradesh, a DCM driver, a Hindu, carrying a cow was shot at by a scooty-borne assailant here on Wednesday morning near a culvert in Para police circle, reports IANS.

The identity of the attacker could not ascertained as he managed to fled away from the scene after committing the crime.

The driver Prem Singh Yadav was admitted to the Trauma centre in an injured position.

According to the report, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dr S. Chinappa said that the driver, Prem Singh Yadav worked for one Sanjeev Singh who had asked him to transport a cow in the vehicle.

The DCP said that the incident was being investigated to get further details as to who was behind the assault on driver. Was the assailant a cow vigilante who shot at the driver, not knowing the identity of the driver, or there was any personal rivalry between the driver and the assailant.
