WHILE Donald Trump’s first term was no “worse”, his “nobility” in the second term has been so profound that it makes him the worthy winner of the first “NOBLE’ Prize for Chaos. These are his biggest “achievements”:
* Donald Trump’s second term has been characterised by a “retribution” campaign, the rapid consolidation of executive power, and aggressive actions against political opponents, the judiciary, and the media; operating with an admirable “politics of cruelty” and engaging in great “democratic backsliding”.
* His internal (within country) achievements include weaponising the Department of Justice (DOJ), investigating political rivals, targeting activists and immigrants, “Hall of Shame” website, unitary executive theory, politicising civil services, defying the judiciary, loyalty tests, targeting the press, attacks on law firms, weaponising the IRS4, foreign policy and international relations; and “America First” reversal, sanctions against the ICC (International Criminal Court) officials among many others.
* His external/international achievements include: Aggressive border/regional tactics, “Dronroe Doctrine” of American supremacy in the Western Hemisphere, including a military raid to capture Venezuela’s leader, Nicolás Maduro, tariffs as a potent way to make America Great; derailing meetings by telling fictional stories about serial killers to Davos, “Befriending” both Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky at the same time letting them continue to fight, threatening Greenland, supporting “peace-loving” Benjamin Netanyahu in elimination of Palestinian innocents, and latest attacking the “terrorists” Khamenei and his subordinates and land.
* His famous speech remarks include vowing to “plant the stars and stripes on the planet Mars”, decrying Joe Biden’s mental acuity and branding him “Sleepy Joe Biden”, “The other thing I say to Europe: we’ve – we will not allow a windmill to be built in the United States. They’re killing us. They’re killing the beauty of our scenery”, “America is respected again as a country. We were not respected with Biden. They looked at him falling downstairs every day. Every day, the guy’s falling downstairs,” accusing some Democrats of “seditious behaviour, punishable by death”, “Look at those frames, you know, I’m a frame person, sometimes I like frames more than I like the pictures.”, “Er, they’ve tried for years and years. Somebody could become very wealthy, but they’ve never found a paint that looks like gold. So painting is easy, but it won’t look right, “[Nato is] not there for us in Iceland, that I can tell you. Our stock market took its first dip yesterday because of Iceland. So, Iceland’s already cost us a lot of money.”
These are only a few of the hundreds of remarks that made people think about the “greatness” of his IQ despite his old age. He made Truth Social, the social media app which he owns and only 3% of Americans use, the unofficial mouthpiece of his presidency.
Still, his half-term is a few months away. And already he has made innumerable remarkable achievements. Who else deserves NOBLE Prize for Chaos other than him! Let him receive it in all dignity while standing and sleeping at the same time. And of course, who can be the better person to hand over this award to him other than Netanyahu? And it will fulfil his dream of winning a Nobel Prize. After that, he can get a permanent sleep.
